AB MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Primary Election - August 18, 2026

General Election - November 3, 2026

The purpose of this upcoming elections will be to fill the following Commission Seats: 

Offices up for election:

Mayor/Commissioner- Seat 1 (2-year term) - At Large
Currently held by Curtis Ford

Commissioner- Seat 4 (4-year term) - District 1306
Currently held by Candace Kelly

Commissioner- Seat 5 (4-year term) - District 1312
Currently held by Jessica Ring

Please Note:  All Atlantic Beach Commission Offices are elected at-large.  AB registered voters can vote for candidates of all seats up for election, regardless of their district.  A seat’s district assignment relates to the residency requirements for candidates.

Residency requirements

All candidates must have been full-time residents and electors of the city for at least four years immediately prior to qualifying, and must not hold any other elective office. Candidates for Seats 4 & 5 are required to reside within the district for which they are seeking. The Mayor has no district requirement. The Mayor and Commissioners are all elected At-Large.

Important Dates:

April 29, 2026:  First Day Petitions/Nominations can be circulated by filed candidates.

May 29, 2026:  Deadline to file Petitions/Nominations with City Clerk.

June 8, 2026 (Noon)  through  June 12, 2026 (Noon): Qualifying period
